steps re-brand

Steps is a Toronto-based charity that bridges culture, community and city building, creating welcoming public spaces by combining cityscapes and public art that reflect the local community.

I was brought onto this project to re-brand their previous logo with something that is clean, youthful, and versatile, inspired by an interpretive map of Toronto.

The logo needed to be approachable for community groups and members while appealing to the team's corporate partners. The client also wanted something minimal enough to be used as a stencil or accompany a busy background so it could combine various works of artists in the community into different executions of the stencil.
